The Municipality of Sibuco continues to strengthen its commitment to digital transformation and efficient public service delivery through its active participation in the eLGU Seminar and Training held at the Municipality of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay from April 20 to 24, 2026.

The five-day training program gathered local government personnel to enhance their knowledge and technical capabilities in the implementation of the Electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System, a modern platform designed to streamline government transactions, improve transparency, and provide faster and more convenient services to the public.

Key eLGU Modules Discussed During the Training

The seminar focused on several important modules of the eLGU system, including:

Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS)

This module enables the efficient processing, renewal, and monitoring of business permits and licenses. It helps reduce processing time, improves compliance, and creates a business-friendly environment for entrepreneurs.

Cedula Module

The Cedula system facilitates the issuance of Community Tax Certificates through an organized and digitalized process. It ensures accurate record-keeping while making transactions easier for residents.

Local Registrar/Civil Registry (LRC) Module

This module enhances the management, safekeeping, and retrieval of civil registry documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, and death records, ensuring faster and more reliable public service.
